Junior Strings

Mondays 4pm – 5pm

Theatr Clwyd, Mold, CH7 1YA

(recommended age range: 6 - 11)

If you’ve always wanted to play a string instrument… now is your chance! You might have been inspired through our First Experiences programme in year 3, or maybe you’ve seen a brilliant performance and want to have a go. This session is designed for beginners to learn to play violin or cello together as an ensemble under the guidance of our specialist tutors. No previous experience necessary and we can provide an instrument. You don’t need to be having lessons as this group is designed to get you started.

It’s also suitable for young string players already having lessons – the pieces we play will have parts suitable for a range of experience levels, from open strings to first finger and beyond.

New members are welcome to visit a rehearsal to find out more and try it out. If you would like any more information, please email susie.jones@theatrclwyd.com

Membership is £25 per half term (around £4.40 per session) paid monthly by Direct Debit.

Membership covers all of our groups which means there is no extra cost to join more than one.

Information on support towards the cost of lessons and ensemble membership is available here.
